hi all just got a swing arm off a vfr and it needs a good clean up what have any body on here used to clean cast alloy i want it to be back to original finish don't want to polish or paint it cheers

Muc off spray and a scrubbing brush, or bottle of washing up liquied and an old rag..

Really depends how bad or rusty the arm is...

yes its off a 1991 rc 36 ill put pics on later its just ground in muck and oil very difficult to bring back to a nice finish so trying stuff in small areas

When it comes to fitting have a read of this project build, I think the vfr swing arm is around page 30 from memory:

Looks like a Pre 94, photo of the shock linkage will confirm that....

Fitted a post 94 to a mk2, think in the end the PRE 94 would have been an easier option due to the linkage set-up.

Have fun fitting, and dont forget you can fit a CAR wheel to that swingarm..
