Hi Folks,
just wondering if there is much you can just simply bolt on and off from a 1250 to make the 1200 look fresher? Mainly I was thinking about the seat and rear end. The main reason I bought my bike is that I fell in love with its front end looking at me (i love naked bikes with the big round headlight) but by gawd is the round bulbous ass of the bandit 1200 ugly :D
This made me think further tho, like speedo/dash etc or "better" "things" that were updated for the 1250 and just bolt straight on the 1200?

Thanks for any input

In 2006 Suzuki put out a Bandit with the WC/FI motor that appeared to have the MkII frame.  Of course I have no idea what the subframe of that 2006 looked like, but I'd be surprised if it were completely different.

Make a friend with a 1250, buy a case of beer and spend a Saturday seeing if the pointy tail section of the 1250 fits on a MkII 1200. (My guess is that the subframes are nearly equal, but the crucial bosses and brackets are different.)

Now if you have a MkI 1200, the 1250 body parts will certainly not bolt right up.

That said, after a little angle grinder, sawzall and welding you can bolt up anything you want!   Big Grin

if you dont like back end chop it and fit summat else, there are loads of project threads showing tail tidy and conversions. hacking a 1250 to make fit seems a lot of effort and thats providing you can find one cheap. Body panels tend to be a bit proicey

Yer I know mate but... :D I'm a lazy c**t and just want bolt ons for better looks rather than hard work and elbow grease for perfect looks  icon_rolleyes
I just dont have time to do any proper work and it would annoy the hell out of me doing something half arsed especially when I do read all you guys project threads and I'm so jealous Smiley
