February 01, 2012, 19:48:00 PM
my bandit is mk 2 starts with choke but when i set of throttle has flat spots and have to rev to keep going tried less choke but same anybody help cheers alan
February 01, 2012, 15:32:58 PM
Bought my bandit from reputable triumph dealer in staffordshire noticed the choke was sticking then saw the cable was frayed at carb end so took bike back for repair. Just noticed all they did was take inner cable out and turn it round
February 01, 2012, 09:15:31 AM
Aye, my B6 Mk1 requires full choke in this weather, then as soon as the revs rise I knock it down to about 1.5-2k. I take the choke off all together after about 3 mins, then if she's still cold at stops, I'll give her a hand with a little extra throttle.
January 31, 2012, 23:14:24 PM
i use choke in a morning for about 15 seconds and then its fine :D mk1 are the best
January 31, 2012, 16:55:01 PM
I ride the ktm on choke about a mile and the take it off. at the lights (I have to reach down to the carb)
January 31, 2012, 10:20:29 AM
the sv650 is worse, god! in the garage yesterday morning bit chilly, full choke, touch throttle dies, well sensetive to cold
January 31, 2012, 00:00:03 AM
the bandits need a wee bit of choke in the mornings and need to warm up for a while on cold mornings. no real fix and its no real problem unless u slept in and gotta hurry.
January 30, 2012, 22:30:35 PM
I agree, you can normally reduce the choke pretty much immediately tho to stop it racing
January 30, 2012, 22:28:30 PM

January 30, 2012, 22:12:09 PM

Theres a nice thread about this at the moment, your best to use the correct tools, bodges are great when they work,a bloody nightmare when they dont.
January 20, 2012, 22:55:25 PM
Chrono, a screwdriver straight through the middle works well. or try to lend the right tool from someone. remember only hand tight when you put the new one on mate
